MyWorkLog is a free progressive web app (PWA) for apprentice time tracking. It offers a digital report book, a flextime account, an overtime calculator, an AI assistant and cloud sync. It works 100% offline and is GDPR-compliant.

Yes, MyWorkLog is completely free and open source (MIT licence), including cloud sync and trainer sign-off. No hidden costs, no ads.

Is there cloud sync and a backup on a server?

Yes, if you want it. By default the data only lives in your browser; the app also keeps automatic local backups and offers an encrypted export. If you sign in, you can switch on cloud sync: an end-to-end encrypted copy is then stored on the server (Supabase) that can only be read with your own recovery code, and you can pull your data onto another device. Without an account this also works directly from device to device (device sync).

Can my trainer sign off the report book online?

Yes, in two ways. With a company account, apprentices connect their report book once via an invite code; the trainer then sees every apprentice's weeks in one overview and signs them off there or sends them back with a comment. Without an account, the apprentice sends a single week by link or QR code. The approval then appears with name and date in the IHK PDF.

Does MyWorkLog work offline?

Yes. MyWorkLog is an offline-first PWA with a service worker. Once loaded, the app works entirely without an internet connection. Data is stored locally in your browser.

Is MyWorkLog GDPR-compliant?

Yes. By default MyWorkLog stores all data locally on your device (local storage). Cloud sync is optional and only happens with your explicit consent. No tracking cookies, no advertising.

Can I install MyWorkLog on my phone?

Yes. MyWorkLog is an installable PWA. Open myworklog.de in Chrome or Safari, tap 'Add to home screen' and you are done. The app then runs like a native app.
